Change of season

Spring has sprung! Alexander Pope says "hope springs eternal". He's right, too, you know. You can't help but have hope in your heart. If you didn't, you'd be miserable. I'd be miserable. It's not just hope in my heart, but faith and trust. I suppose they're different.

For me, when a season changes, that's a time to consider hope. Of course, Fall is my favorite season. I just love watching leaves dangle and drop from the trees. Beautiful.

So then spring is my next favorite. Yep, you guessed it - it's because the leaves return. That's the hope springs part, you know. They leave, they return.

Like I say at the start of my story:
"At the next change of season, observe the trees, the landscapes of your city, a park - listen, look, feel."

Don't just take time to smell the roses; take time to watch them grow.
